What is Sakura Days Japan Fair?

Sakura Days Japan Fair celebrates all things Japan – from Japanese food, drink and performances, to music and art. Join us and immerse yourself in Japanese culture – participate in a traditional tea ceremony, try Japanese festival food, sample premium sake, learn new Japanese games, and enjoy a range of cultural performances. Discover a wide variety of vendors and exhibitors featuring local Japanese food, crafts, and businesses.

Most activities will take place outdoors, with select vendors, tea ceremony, and curated experiences that will take place indoors. Look forward to taiko drumming, theatre performances, and woodworking demonstrations, just to name a few!

What will We Serve?

We are going to serve 3 types of Japanese sake!

Kubota Senju Ginjo

Kubota’s Best Seller – “Perfect Ginjo for meals”. Food friendly, and complements a variety of dishes. The moderate aroma precedes a delicately flavored palate followed by a pleasantly clean and crisp finish. Recommended to serve chilled or slightly warmed to enjoy the best expression of layered sake.

Kamikokoro Momo

Sake with a beautiful fruitiness from selected Japanese ripe peaches. From Okayama prefecture, a famous peach producing area. It opens with a fragrant, natural peach bouquet and a sweet, flavorful peach taste with a touch of earthiness on the palate. Balanced with bamboo leaf, herb & plum flavour. This peach sake is smooth, fruit-forward and accessible.

Tsukasabotan Yamayuzu

Filled with the fruity aroma of Yuzu on the nose. Extremely refreshing and delicate on the palate. Perfectly balanced Yuzu sake followed by elegant acidity. Made from Yuzu it is grown pesticide-free in Kochi, southern Japan. No preservatives, No colour, No acid, No artificial flavour. Semi-sweet.
