Wakaebisu was founded by Shigefuji Gizaemon in 1853. Shigefuji family has brewed sake for generations in Iga City, Mie Prefecture, the renowned hometown of ninja. “Wakaebisu” was named after a haiku poem of Matsuo Basho, a great haiku master from Iga. “Ebisu”, the god of business, is depicted on its label. The aroma note is the fruity aroma of La France, quince and the expansive pleasant aroma of rice. Well-balanced umami of rice and fruity acidity.
